Bed frame sizes

Your mattress has a fixed size. The frame around it doesn't, and that's what you measure the room for.

Specialty queen frames

Headboards and height

Do you need a box spring or foundation?

Not with a platform or slatted frame, which supports the mattress on its own. A traditional metal frame needs a foundation.^{[2 · Oct 29, 2026]}
